After a day of pool fun, someone has to tidy up the toys and accessories. A Florida native, entrepreneur of Ocala, Della Hodson; whose pool was a magnet for her nieces and nephews, usually got stuck with the clean up duty. What she discovered was that she had no neat way to store the various toys and accessories that were left behind by her family and friends. So in 1999, the idea of the Poolside Organizer was created. During the next six years, Della and her husband Codi Hodson, approached several manufacturing companies to have the product made, but had no success. Della, being a very persistent person, went back to one company three times. In 2006, Della approached the same Ocala company for a fourth time and this time was told yes, so they started production immediately.
A life changing decision was made for Della's husband Codi, to quit his job and devoted all of his time to the newly formed company Hott Sun. With enough savings for six months, they acted upon it. They purchased 100 units, 5,000 flyers, and started work out of a small shed to start distribution of their product.
Like all other pool owners, they understood the need for a product that would hold pool related items safely and in one location. The Poolside Organizer is an innovative creation that helps you keep all of your pool accessories organized, dry, and in one place. It holds everything from floats, towels, bathing suits, masks, fins, boogie boards, toys, suntan lotions, hats, glasses, and much more.
